Sides Of My Hair Seem To Be Thinning

Not sure if this is typical of diffuse thinning, however the sides of my hair have started thinning. Over the past 2 months I have been losing quite a lot of hair, most noticeably in the shower. I probably wash my hair every 3-4 days and in the shower I'll lose up to 200 every wash, I guess to some extent this may be normal since I don't wash my hair that often, but it has never been this way in the past so there's obviously something up - plus my hair feels thinner.

I don't yet have any visible thinning at the top of my head, no scalp is shown or whatever, but it definitely feels thinner. On the other hand, my sides are definitely showing some thinning, most likely because they're shorter they're able to show it better, but here are some pictures:

I'm planning on getting on finasteride in about a month (hoping I don't lose too much more by then). I'm not yet sure if is 100% male pattern baldness though, and I can't really get it checked by a derm because I'm from the UK/a student and this kinda thing costs a lot of money (and to be honest, I have no idea how). I don't have any diffuse thinning in my family history, whole maternal side is fine, dad's side has recession but no thinning at my age (I'm only 18, soon to turn 19, but I know it's not uncommon to have symptoms of male pattern baldness at my age!) I could put it down to my diet, I hardly eat most the time so it could be vitamin deficiency but not sure how possible that is.

Pretty worried to be honest, just hope I can maintain for at least a month before jumping on finasteride- don't have the funds to buy it yet, so just waiting for a month until I get my student loan lmao.

Any diffuse thinners had the same experience, with thinning on the sides/back of head too?

Looks like Retrograde Alopecia, I got it too. From my own observations and personal experience people with RA dont tend to respond to finasteride unfortunately. It's still worth a shot though!

Lol don't say that I started finasteride 3 weeks ago lmao. But I think many who suffer from male pattern baldness also suffer from retrograde

Probably, I've seen quite a few members here with it.
