Simple Question: Does Dr Lee's 2% spironolactone Lotion Smell??

Hi there,

I'm thinking of adding spironolactone to my regime. Because I am a diffuse thinner at the front of my head I think that Dr. Lee's 2% solution would be much better suited than the 5% cream. I also want something that will absorb as fast as the minoxidil. I know the cream is virtually odourless, but how about the 2% Lotion?

I will be using Lee's minoxidil as well with this, apparently the two combine badly in terms of smells.

I've read so many conflicting opinions on this forum, just wondering what the general consensus is?

Thanks,
Robert

When kept in the fridge it doesnt really smell that much at all.

I used to use Dr. Lees and its quite good, recently I'm trying the spironolactone from this site because its cheaper, but also doesnt smell much if kept in the fridge -

2% spironolactone lotion

I think the 2% smells pretty bad, especially if you start sweating and go out in the sun. However, I really don't find a problem with the 5%. The 5% is much easier on my scalp too.

I used to use 5% cream from dr. lee. it smells awful!
then I decided to switch to 2% solution. it smells better. How ever, when you apply minoxidil afterwards the smell becmoes terrible.
I abandoned spironolactone for fluridil.

Good luck

Seems like there is some disagreement on the subject.

Any more opinions would be much appreciated by the way.

Also, how fast does the 5% cream absorb?

Thanks

The 2% dries really quickly, the 5% cream doesn't really absorb 100% and is really only suitable for slick bald areas, not thinning areas, unless you put it on only at night.

I found it gave me spots if used everyday.
