Situation update

Well everyone I'm coming up on my 9month on finasteride, and thought I'd let everyone know what my situation is. I'm about a Norwood 2.5 with diffuse thinning on top. Headed towards NW3. I don't think finasteride has helped maintain my hair or gave me any regrowth. I'm gunna still wait it out until the 1 year mark. But I'm truely disappointed with finasteride. In its defense I have suffered no sides from taking it but I also haven't reaped any of the benefits it has to offer.

My my crown has maybe stabilized somewhat I'm not too sure. And my temples have taking a huge hit. Seems like I'm watching them recede further back daily. Anyways I'll keep everyone updated until the 1year mark. When that arrives I'll have to decide wether to switch to dutasteride or except my fate until I have the cash for a hair transplant.

what is the percent difference with dutasteride ?

I haven't really done my due diligence on dutasteride. All Ik is its more powerful than finasteride. Only problem is obtaining it hopefully my dermatologist will prescribe it to me bc I don't feel comfortable purchasing meds online. In the mean time I have to stock up on my toppik. That stuff works wonders. I use a lot but still actually makes it look like I'm not balding as severely as I am.

Add minoxidil to it. It doesn't hurt. It used to work on my temple. I skipped six years in between, which was not a good choice. But it's cheap, and you can find it anywhere.

Ah I wish I could, I was using minoxidil for about 8 months and how to quit because it irritated my scalp and cause a bunch of problems. Every since I quit rogaine my hair has thinned badly espically where I applied it.
