Some said topical spironolactone increased loss, if true, by how?

Some said applying it made things worse.

I just can't understand, come on, it is an anti-androgen, and anti-androgen is supposed to do good to hair!

Or is it just in their heads?

It SUCKS when you think you were helping your hairs by applying topicals on every day's 7:00AM and 7:00PM, and then somehow find out later you were infact helping to kill them!

i find that very hard to believe. spironolactone is not strong enough to be a stand alone, but it should help, or if you used the wrong dose, it should do nothing. maybe if you rub cream on your head, some loose hairs in the resting phase might come out, but you won't kill the follicle. I just learned that in hampsters 0.3g per day was much better than 3g per day. Or were both of these in mg? So now i'm trying to decide whether to get the 2% or the 5%. just for the cost, i might do the 2%, though it might be better to mix up my own, since i heard that can be cheap.
