1) The Italian study for male pattern baldness. I scanned that entire study and I've posted it several times on various hairloss sites; haven't you heard of it or read it before? It's still available on my Web site.
2) What I humorously call the "Phantom Study" that Dr. Proctor referred to a few times on alt.baldspot. It wasn't published in a medical journal, it was just written-up and distributed to everybody at a medical conference that Dr. Proctor had attended several years ago. The author had tested topical spironolactone, and found an effect that seemed roughly similar to what you get with Propecia. Unfortunately, Dr. Proctor didn't save the paper, but he remembered the general findings from it.
3) A third study (yes, it was published) was on the effect of topical spironolactone on hairloss in women, and found a favorable effect.
4) Another study by Rittmaster in which he found a suppressive effect of topical spironolactone on body hirsutism in women (using a cream vehicle). I copied a lengthy excerpt from it in my post "spironolactone CREAM versus spironolactone SOLUTIONS", which is also still available on my Web sit
