spironolactone 5% solution

Okay guys, I have done some research and some digging around and talking to people and come to the conclusion that http://www.cemproducts.com is a legitimate website!!! And of course the topical 5% spironolactone "solution" that they sell is real and it is "stable"!! As a matter of fact, I have a reply I am gonna copy here that a member of http://www.bodybuilding.com told me and he is a user of the 5% solution from cemproducts. His user name is BillyB. I sent him a post message and he replied with this :

The one from Cemproducts is 100% clear and stable, no need to shake. I have used Nizoral 2% and spironolactone on many ph cycles and never have lost any hair. I honestly do not know how effective it is if you are already losing hair. All I know is that I have ran a lot of products that convert to dht and should have had some negative effect on my hair.

I also have other replies that I have received to.............one user didn't care for it at all since his wife complained of the terrible smell, LOL!!! He didn't give the stuff enough of a chance to do its magic, but he did mention that it was stable.

Looks like Dr. Lee might be in some serious competition...........unless people still like to use the lotion..........I don't :-x ....................solution will be much easier to apply

What's really crazy is CEMProducts is located in my home town. I have e-mailed them to find out if I can bypass the mail couriers and go directly to their office or warehouse!! That would be the shiznit!!!!!!

I'll keep everyone informed as I despise Dr. Lee's spironolactone formulas!

LOL!!! :lol: Yeah that is the shiznit if they are located in your own hometown! Since you did email them, it will probably be a day or two before they get back to ya, from my experience anyways. I have talked to a few people that use this stuff and they have said that it is very stable. One warning though, it stinks to high heaven. I would imagine so because it is a 5% solution, very potent. Not a problem there though because after the spironolactone 5% solution is on your scalp for an hour, you can wash your hair, that way if you need to go out in public, you won't smell like a skunk. It only takes about an hour for the solution to absorb, the rest is just still in your hair.
If you do purchase this product, please let us know what your experience is. Tell us if the solution is stable and if it has any signs of instability or separation, tell us. Its just kind of hard to believe that a 5% solution of poly propylene glycol, ethanol, distilled water, and spironolactone is gonna be stable. The only solution, that we know of, that is stable is the 2% strength. Any thing stronger in "solution form" than the 2% has had stability issues. But these chemists that make the product must know how to get it stable, we're assuming anyways.
Yeah I would much rather use a solution vs. a lotion since it would be much easier to apply. Keep us updated dude.

I got their reply 3 hours ater I emailed them! I am going to purchase this product and replace it with one of the Dr. Lee's 2% spironolactone once a day instead of my Dr. Lee formulation twice a day. This way I'm not worried that I won't loose ground in my regimen if the product is useless. Personally, I think Dr. Lee's formulation dries MUCH too quickly to get the medicine to the androgen receptors in the scalp so I don't have anything to loose. I am not worried about the smell.

I will stay posted.

Dave 001, is there a way to make a "thinner" version of 5% spironolactone cream? I mean it doesn't have to be as thin as minoxidil, but thinner than the cream would be nice. Thinner as in viscosity. What is it that is in the cream that dissolves the spironolactone better than ppg or ethanol?

Are you actually gonna go there and purchase or get it by mail, since they are located close to you. Yes, let us know the details!! How it smells even, lol!! And read the label ingredients to us, I only saw a few of the ingredients from the pic on their website, not sure if I saw all of the ingredients from the pic. Later dude!!

It absorbs quickly. Dr. Lee told me that you can wash your hair about an hour after application if you want, nothing wrong with it. Same thing for his minoxidil formulas or xandrox too! The only thing you need to leave on your scalp for a long period of time is the spironolactone 5% cream that he sells, since it probably absorbs slowly.

Yes I use his 5% xandrox and his 2% spironolactone. According to Dr. Lee, washing your hair about an hour after application is fine, cause it only takes about that long for them to completely absorb. Just not the 5% spironolactone cream that he sells, it needs to stay on for a long time.

Did you get the percentages of the vehicles used in CEM's 5% spironolactone?

Because spironolactone is more soluble in PPG than ethanol. Maybe they achieve this stable 5% spironolactone solution by using more PPG. Maybe a
50% PPG
40% Ethanol
10% Distilled water
