Starting Dutas

Hello all,

Been on finasteride for several years now but it appears to not be doing much at this point, thus I'm about to begin taking dutasteride with 1mg for now. My question is whether I should take 5mg every day, every other day, or even less than that? I'm looking to take my first dose today, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

5mg? You mean 0.5mg?

The normal dosage is 0.5mg per day, but some people take it every other day.

I popped my first .5mg Dutas literally yesterday, I'm 28 and have only medium level temple recession so I'm going to start every second day to begin, and add rogaine/nizoral to see if I can't grow back what I've lost.

I have been on propecia for over one year with continuing loss. Two weeks ago I added .5 dutasteride once a week. Nothing to report yet.
