Starting Finasteride

So I've bought Finasterid and I also have Minoxidil. Can anyone tell me what does Finasteride do whenever I start taking it in? I mean like will it stop my hair from falling out or wil I first go to a shedding fase? I really have trouble finding answers to questions like these because the search bar on this website really isn't good.

Hey dude, you'll prob notice less hairloss within the first 2 weeks and then all your thin hairs will start shedding to make room for the new thicker hairs..
