Stress while on finasteride?

This was one of my biggest question I've been wondering about a long time... Some say that stress makes you go bald faster (from GP and dermato) and while some say that losing your hair from stress is temporarily (from another dermato). Which then I'm very confused, can stress really accelerate male pattern baldness process and affect finasteride's effectiveness? Are they really related? I often have stresses alot daily which mostly during the day I go out for school and work unless I stay home, should I be worried?

It's a cycle. I take stress relief pills because hair loss stresses me out.

Its my assumption only, but I think that as long as you are CONSISTENTLY stressed, then yes - of course finasteride won't give you the same results as you would probably get if you weren't stressed.

From everything I've read, it's possible that stress can potentially accelerate male pattern baldness, if it causes hair to cycle more often. However, it still seems up to debate. Clearly "stress" is not the cause of male pattern baldness since there are plenty of way stressed out guys with full heads of hair. Some people that go through extremely stressful, usually out of the ordinary situations, it's possible to have telogen effevium (spelling?) but that is considered temporary for the most part.

I asked my derm this same question. She said "maybe" without looking up.

I asked if stress caused me to shed am I actually balding or is it possible it will grow back on its own? She said "maybe" without looking up again.

Then I paid $170.

Good times.

I know right.... some dermatologists are too hurried giving quick answers without checking up... unless they're nice enough to let you take your time asking questions

Speaking of getting the same results or not, do you think it may delay the results since I expect taking finasteride for life? Or I would miss the chance to get the results?
