Hi all im new to this forum, and have many questions, i just turned 20 yrs old, ive been on propecia for 3 1/2 months and minoxidil for about the same time a little less for the minoxidil, so far i have experienced no shedding, no side affects, i lose bout 6 or 7 hairs in the shower but i would like to consider that normal, is it? on a good day i get 0 hairs. i have noticed small hairs coming in along my hair line which to me looks like its gunna fill in nicely at least i hope, im a norwood 1 with no visible signs of thinning or balding, although i know theres very slight thinning, and my right temple is a little more receded than the left, virually undetectable by friends or family, right now i look as if i didnt have male pattern baldness.. success?? also a couple questions, does every one experience shedding? my brother has no signs of male pattern baldness is this relevant to me? my moms brotheres and dad full heads of hair is this relevant to me? is there any chance that i am mistaking the development of a mature hair line for male pattern baldness? i have many questions because i know there are alot of you out there like me. read my story add me as a friend thanks guys any and all help is appreciated!!

You are a norwood 1 with no visible signs of balding or thinning? And you have no family history of baldness? I'd say you have nothing to worry about.

i do have family history of balding, my dad is bald on top and even the top still has hair but hes pretty much bald, my dad said when his dad dies he had hair, honestly i dont know what to think, i would like to think that my hair line is just changing bt u can never know, so thats y i started on the meds..
