Switching from Finasteride to Dutasteride - Some input pls

After 11 years of being on Finasteride and experiencing some reasonably good slowing of my hair loss, I have decided to give Avodart a earnest effort. My only real goal in using it is to maintain what I have and I will be using it in addition to topical spironolactone Cream, minoxidil, and Nizoral.

I got a script from Medical Wellness Center and am going to have a Canadian Pharmacy fill it for me since my insurance doesn't cover it here in the states. Anyone have any good legitimate sites they recommend? I know there is a lot of controversy over Canadian pharmacies, but I think the legitimate ones that are verified by the Better Business Bureau and Pharmacy Checker should be fine and as long as I am taking the brand name Avodart it should be okay.

I realize the risks associated with Avodart and I'm willing to see how it works for me. I'd rather try and have to stop because I can't tolerate it than never try and wonder "what if". I have never had side effects on Proscar/finasteride.

Is there a suggested adjustment period to ween off of finasteride and get onto dutasteride that would minimize sheds or system shock/withdrawl? Like .5 mg dutasteride M W F and finasteride T, Th, Sat, Sun?

Thanks for the help!

I just made a switch from finasteride to dutasteride about 10 days ago.
I dropped finasteride cold and jumped into dutasteride .5mg/day. so far no sides but i'm afraid a big shed is coming. I had no choice but to drop finasteride cold because it ran out on.
I think switching to dutasteride was the right choice.. it was clear that the finasteride wasn't able to hold my hair no more.
pretty much, people are gonna say all different things.. some will say there's risk of interaction btwen the two, some will suggest alternates.

Dutasteride is my only hope..

sometimes i look down at my pubes and wish that i could somehow magically transplant them in my temples.. they are thick as rug.

A surgeon could transplant those pubes to your head... not necessarily by magic unfortunatley.
