Switching From Oral To Topical Finasteride - Want To Keep My Gains

So I’m planning to switch my oral finasteride 1mg to topical finasteride. I plan to buy it compunded with 15% minoxidil so I would have a drug that contains 15% minoxidil and 0.1% finasteride. I would spray the 1ml once per day (which is equal to 1mg of finasteride) - it takes less than 2 minutes. This plan sounds good to me but one thing that makes me wonder is will I keep my gains. Do you think I can apply it only to affected areas (temples) or should i spray it all over my head as preventive measure?

I would apply it in all the diffuse areas. I asked a rep from Hasson and Wong if people who switched from oral to topical lost their gains and they claimed that they did not. I would just slowly alternate the two( topical one day oral the other) and then slowly taper into topical if I were in your shoes.
