So a few months ago I switched from Propecia 1mg a day to Avodart .05 mg every OTHER DAY and have noticed I I might be loosing more hair. Considering I use to take Propecia everyday, is it better to continue taking Avodart every day? I am worried I am not getting enough of the the drug and its causing me to loose hair as if I stopped taking hair med treatment all together?

Any advice?

If you switched to dutasteride, then you will most likely experience a shed. Nearly all the reports I've read on it say that you will. I did it, and shed so badly that I stopped after 3 weeks. My brother (who was worse off in the hair department than I was when he started) started on dutasteride, and his hair looked HORRIBLE for about 3 months, but then steadily started to improve.

If you go with dutasteride, you basically just have to bite the bullet for 3-6 months.
