after reading this http://www.hairlosssucks.com/propecia.htm

i wanna start taking it. i'm going to talk to my dermatologist tomorrow.

*is generic finasteride as good as propecia?

*if finasteride/propecia raises test levels and thus estrogen levels follow to balance and you get fattening side effects from the estrogen, should you take propecia/finasteride with estrogen blockers

*if propecia works, can you use anabolic steroids without it affecting your hair? (i'm asking this hypothetically, i'm not going to use them)

THANKS guys :)

Generic 1 mg finasteride is the same as propecia. Your testosterone level is probably going to be slightly elevated when you begin using finasteride, and the testosterone might begin converting to estrogen in excessive amounts, which causes side effects. You shouldn't use an aromatase inhibitor if you don't need it. That includes large amounts of zinc.

Steroids... finasteride will help with testosterone, but supraphysiological levels of testosterone will cause hair loss as well, if you're prone to it. hGH and oxandrolone are safe in that matter. Using Andractim to counter gynecomastia induced by finasteride is also safe. That's what I've experience with. Abusing steroids if you're prone to hair loss, is a baaad idea. Using finasteride with DHT derivates will not help, and they're generally very bad for you hair. Oxandrolone, better known as Anavar, is an exception. It can be used by children and women as well, to prevent muscle wasting. The medical dosing range is 2.5 to 20 mg a day. It's a potent stimulant.
