To all long-term finasteride users (8-10 years), have you noticed any worsening of your hair while on finasteride?

I'm a 20 year old Asian male, have started to notice my possible hair loss since last year. My father is a Norwood 5-6 and he is 59 years old this year, started balding in his 40s. My maternal relatives all have full heads of hair, but I don't know about my maternal grandfather as he passed away when my mom was very young. I have tried accepting it as part and parcel of growing up, but since I'm Asian I can't even grow a full beard, much less pull off the bald look. Here's my hair:

I've been considering finasteride for the past few months, but since I'm only 20, I am worried about finasteride eventually losing its effectiveness for me in a few years, which means I would still be bald in my 30s. I hope to delay me taking finasteride until I'm 25-30 years old.

I've read countless threads on finasteride causing upregulation of androgen receptors, hair follicles becoming more sensitive to DHT levels, hair loss worsening after years of being on finasteride on hair loss forums, and truth be told I'm scared and worried sick as it makes the outlook of keeping my hair look really bleak. This hair loss issue has caused me anxiety and mental health issues for the past few months, and it is really terribly hard to cope with it alongside family issues/school/money problems. Please, help me clear up my doubts if you can.
