Now when I buzz them, instead of growing out, I feel like I am in control of my balding somehow. It may not look better than before balding, but at least I feel like a human being once more

Wait until you are a slave to it, having to buzz every 3 days to maintain it and stop the miniaturized hair trying to grow out. I love shaving my beard too, but if I had to do it every day instead of when I want to, I wouldn't like it much anymore.

I am already a slave to it, sometimes I miss my old hair. But to be honest this is better than worrying myself to death about something I can't stop
If you look good buzzed it’s a great feeling. knowing losing your hair won’t affect your aesthetics a massive relief. When the hair loss gets noticeable buzzed a simple round of SMP will fix that.
This is a hair loss forum so the majority will tell you it’s a mistake but that’s only because they’re afraid to do it or can’t because they look awful.

We both have the nw1 hairline so it’s true the buzz does look better but smp to the rescue if needed.
I would say up to nw2 looks good with a buzz.
