First of all- checking in. I'm 22 and I've been on propecia (1mg daily) since jan of 2017. As far as I can tell my hairline remains basically unchanged since then, so finasteride has been effective. I give myself another 2-3 years with this hairline before it slips off again.

I'm not in denial, I'm treading water and it screws with my head and self-confidence immensely. This being said, I really think we are in the end-game now.

I know that for many people it is difficult to believe in new treatments coming through but with how many companies are targeting stem cell based therapy, it's really an "arms race" now to become the first one to get into market with the best results.

If I were a betting man, I'd say that we will have the first effective stem cell therapy hitting European markets around 2025, but I could see it being pushed back to 2030. I simply do not believe it will go on much further than that. I'm an agnostic athiest, I base all of my beliefs in hard evidence and make every effort to avoid deceiving myself, choosing instead to arm my reasoning with scientific evidence. I'd say that it is actually probably more against the grain of reason to suppose that we wouldn't have some kind of stem-cell based therapy in the next 5-15 years.

I would love a reasonable and intelligent debate if anyone chooses to challenge my suggestion and welcome any and all thoughts.
