Thinning hair at young age

About to turn 22 and my hair is thinning already. I stopped stressing it with flat irons a year ago and never blow dry it anymore. Looks like it's receeding in the front as well as sides (especially) and the scalp on my foreheads hairline is often itchy. Can't put my hair up anymore without trying to place it perfectly so my scalp is covered which is near impossible.
:lost:
I'll be seeing my doctor soon and I was looking for any questions I should be sure to ask him?
Thanks for any help.

Hmm im far from an expert on womens hairloss but id be asking things like:

1) Can i be tested for possible mineral deficiencies?
2) Can I be tested for hormone inbalances?
3) Is my hairloss stress related?

Id also ask about possible Hair Transplant options on the hairline if your hair is receeding. That may be a little premature but it is an option. Women dont bald in the same way men do so a hair transplant or hairline lowering procedure (to even out your hairline) is a possible option.

Hope this helps slightly.

Good luck :)

Nope.

Also forgot to mention I have a slight thyroid problem. Always just figured because I'm on the lowest dose of synthroid it shouldn't be affecting my hair. Maybe my ignorance towards that has gotten the best of me? :$

Was hard to get an appointment and then the holidays came, I'll be going next week finally and drilling my doctor. haha

It wouldnt necessarily be the drug that is causing the hair loss. Its most likely the thyroid imbalance that would be causing it. So the dosage of the drug, being low, wouldn't be a factor.
