Thoughts On Rogaine Vs Prp After Hair Transplant

I'm 43 years old. Getting a hair transplant on Monday. Very excited and nervous. They will be rebuilding my frontal region. My crown is in pretty good shape. Some thinning going up the center of my head which I am sure they will apply some grafts. My question is what to do afterwards. I will not take finestride. Considering rogaine or PRP. Would you recommend annual PRP treatments over minoxidil if one can afford it? It is more costly but in the end (I think) but probably a lot less hassle. Thoughts?

PRP isn't really a good treatment as its not proven to work. Some people regrow a bit of hair but most don't see any benefit from using it. Why won't you use finasteride? I presume you already have kids, if you get side effects ( which you probably won't ) you can just stop using it. I suppose you could use minoxidil but it doesn't address the main cause of the hair loss and it simply 'hides' the hair loss for a while, once it loses effectiveness you will end up a lot balder. If you are lucky enough to have very slow male pattern baldness then it could be an option to go ahead with the transplant without using finasteride.
