are there any members with thyroid hair loss? Got my thyroid tested during a routine physical-I hadn't had a comprehensive one since childhood. Anyway I have hypothyroidism, I still have to talk to the doctor but it is most likely due to auto-immune disease.
Now that I think back on my hair loss it does seem it could be thyroid related. I remember one day in college I buzzed my hair down to a #1 guard as I normally do and all of a sudden I had a huge thinning patch on top (I was about 18 at the time and although my hair continually sheds it still doesn't look as though I've lost any density now 7 years later). I never really noticed whether or not it was progressing because my head was always shaved.
