Today I asked my mother to shave my head....

She refused to do it and said that I would look like a Neonazi. So what? I would rather be "the Neonazi guy" than "the bald guy". Now I am fucked, my sister isn´t here and I am afraid to go to the barber with my bad hair. Why me....

a picture and it looked fine. id keep it like that.

id really get some topicals on there if youre worried. i know youre
reluctant to use minoxidil but you could get some good results and itd be
dead easy to apply with hair like that.

Hi Taug, unless you hair has changed (alot) since you last posted a pic, You do not need to shave it. But if you want to just grab the clippers and do it, However I can imagine if you did you would regret it.

Wow!! Right now, your hair is probably the LEAST of your problems.

Buzzing your head w/ the same guard all over is way easier than you think. In fact, it's almost impossible to screw up unless the clip falls off (and that's only if you plan on using a clip). Geez, I've been buzzing my head myself since I was 16.... and not once have I thought of relying on my mom to do it for me.

Besides, I've seen your pics and your hair is perfectly fine. So if you don't wanna shave it, then you don't have to.

you have to be careful around the ears, though. Some guys buzz into them before they know what happened. Better have a barber show you the ropes first.

Hey Taugenichts.

Mate I am not going to to tell you buzzing your hair is a good idea or bad idea. I am in the processing of considering buzzing myself. You just have to decide whether buzzing will really make things better. Otherwise what is the point! Will buzzing make you happy? Will buzzed hair suite your head? These are questions only you can really answer.

The reason I have been considering shaving my head is because I play heaps of sport. When my hair is dry you cannot tell I am thinning on top. But as soon as I get wet or sweaty it is really obvious I am going bald. The worst part about this is everytime I go for a run, or a swim etc, it is like revealing I'm balding for the first time. Because I go from looking like I have heaps of hair to looking really thin.

It is this constant emotional rollercoaster which I feel shaving might eliminate. This way I will always have a constant playing field and I won't feel like I am carrying around this terrible secret. What you see is what you get kind of thing.

Anyway those are just my thoughts on the matter.

Why should I regret shaving it? I mean it will grow back in a few days. And I can finally see how I will look like when I am totally bald. Sooner or later I will have to do this step. So, maybe I can accept my baldness better when I can see that it doesn´t look that bad. I won´t be stressed about the hair I am shedding (can´t see it), shampooing is easy and I will sweat less. It is just something new.
