Topical Minoxidil/Finasteride

Depends how much you want to dose. if you use 1 ml a day of this solution(and a regular minoxidil solution for the other application) then 60mg of finasteride in 60ml = 1mg of finasteride per application. I think so anyway.

I found that topical application is nearly as effective as oral, with just as many sides.

Also I found it takes a couple days for the pills to fully become a solution in the minoxidil. Otherwse the first couple days you get small pill chunks in there.

Did you drop the topical? Is it worth me starting if I also just recently taking oral 1/4fin eod..

I just noticed you regime that you take 0.25mg finasteride eod, I also started the same this week (taken about 3 1/4 pills so far eod).. how long you been doing this dose?

Funny how before I was looking everywhere for 0.25mg eod users online to see if anyone has tried it alot of 0.5 eod users.. didn't have much luck! And now I found one lol hope you can get back to me with how effective it was for you..need a mentor!

It seem logical it should work, what was your reason on choosing this amount?

Yeah .25 eod was VERY effective for me...BUt I keep on getting sides so I quite finasteride for now altogether. Its been 2 weeks and Im still not 100%. I would like to try again but it will probably still give me sides!

Futhermore, I had to drop the topical finasteride because not only was it giving me sides, it was giving my girlfriend sides. It gets in combs, on pillows...And she played with my hair. Topical is NOT a good idea. Its the same as oral anyway so I'd stick to oral. My topical solution was only half of .166mg as well, per application

However everyone reacts differently so its hard to say if .25 will be enough, but you can only find out for yourself.

Did you start a higher dose at first and then switch to 0.25 because of the sides?.. How long where you on the 0.25 eod for before you started seeing results? And what sort of side effects did you get..?

Sorry to here you still experiencing the sides..maybe a more smaller concentration may be benefical after you had a break...

Yeah I hope somehow magically it will worki out for me and I get to keep my hair...hahaha...


Anyhow I started off with a half dose. I knew about sides, and the stuff was very expensive so I thought this was the way to go. .5mg a day, and hair started growing in by the first week. by the second months I was getting comments and by the 5th month solid, dark thick hairs were growing in where my hairline had been receded previous. Totally amazing. By this time sex was getting harder and harder...Then, i went drinking and the next day my member was numb....It was very disturbing, so I took a couple days off, experience a minor shed, and was back to normal sexual. Got back on it...sides came. For months and months I battled it, taking breaks, altering dosages....Thought I found an Ideal dose at .2mg, so I went up to 1/3rd pilll...Worked great for a few weeks...Then bam! Gyno. This was about the 8 month mark. About 9 month mark BAM! crippling brain fog....

f*****g sucks man!!! I have been "clean for 2 weeks now. Brain fog way better, still hard to perform sexually like I used to, gyno in 1 nipple remains but its fairly small. It went away in the other so I hope it doesnt come back....

I hope all this highly personal info helps you. I left al ot of info out but this is the gist of it. I am now waiting for a full recovery before I consider tryinig again! My hair still looks good but Im sure in a few more weeks-months it will look like sh*t!!

I can explain brain fog as a total lack of direction. You exist with the complete lack of desire to do anything. You have no passion for anything. You will go back to the things you used to love, and kinda "Fake it"...pretending things are ok and that you are still alive. But you are dead. This also comes with a lot of fear and anxiety. You are scared, helpless, directionless.

Its far worse than the sexual sides.

It took a while to get that bad, but it sneaks up on you, and at first you think its no big deal...Til you start pacing around your house scared, not sure what to do, cause you have nothing you want to do.

My girlfriend was getting the same dark bags under her eyes that I was getting. It was uncanny. I didnt even really think about it until I quit, and like magic they disappeared from both of us. Also not being able to sleep, dry skin, depression...

Well its been a few weeks and I dont feel like I have the ability to ingest anymore of this stuff....... And yes topical is a very bad idea, especially if you have a gf.

i have bad sides with 0.2mg finasteride (ed), thinking about to try the topical solution

This is off topic, but just WOW... That pretty much sums up my life in general - I've been on dutasteride for 3+ months now but my impression of brain fog was that you're unable to concentrate.... I didn't expect that i was like this because of the meds :|
