Hi everyone, i’d like to ask if anyone ever use a topical solution that contains Finasteride 1% and Minoxidil 5%?

What would be the benefit of topical finasteride? Oral finasteride plus Loniten is likely to be much more effective.

Because i have the side effects by taking the oral finasteride.
What do you think about compounded finasteride 1% + minoxidil 5%?

It should be perfectly safe since both of those things are essentially innocuous. I haven't read much or anything about the effectiveness of finasteride or dutasteride when used topically but I am a huge believer in giving it a try if you don't become obsessive and are not wedded it to. Hair is almost impossible to coax to improvement by anyone so if it works and you do not become obsessed by tinkering with your formula endlessly, it can only contribute to our knowledge base.

From short hair to long. Lol bad comparison. Jazz1 is a scammer.
I haven’t used a ready-made topical with 1% finasteride plus 5% minoxidil, but I mixed generic drops myself for a few weeks. Results were slightly less itch than minoxidil, but growth was slow, nothing wild. A friend of mine grabbed this pre-mixed formula and swears it’s tighter than old routine. Side effects seemed mild: a bit of scalp tingle, no dizziness. And don’t sleep on patch-testing a small area first. Better safe than sorry, right?

If your dermatologist or prescribing physician specifically compounded a 1% formula, they may have judged it appropriate for your hair-loss pattern but it’s higher than what’s generally studied. If you’re concerned about over-dosing or side effects, I’d recommend checking back in with them.

Topical goes systemic aswell. I had sides on topical so im using orals instead now.

and to be honest i have been using the compounded topical solution as finasteride 1% and minoxidil 5% for almost 9 days but the main thing that concerns me only the itching scalp.
What do you think about that?

1% is a huge dose and will absorb into the scalp skin and into the bloodstream its a scientific fact and many on reddit get sides on topical me aswell. Its better that you take oral finasteride 1mg x3 weekly m,w.f to reduce sides thats what I do. And it is effective. This way you will skip the annoyence and itchyness that come with topical applications.
