If you're a sensitive individual i.e. in "the 2%" then there's a chance spironolactone and any other topical antiandrogens will give you side effects.

They'll be the same sides as Finasteride though obviously not as severe given that topical spironolactone is not as strong.

However, many people on this forum seem to get on with topical spironolactone just fine... I unfortunately didn't :(

I got bad sides off s5 cream to be honest, both sexual and mental. I think my system must be very sensitive to anti-androgens because I've had problems with both spironolactone and finasteride.

But hey, don't let me put you off, try it for yourself, many here have no problems with spironolactone.

hmmm u say u got bad sides of the cream??? I used two bottles of 2% now im almost finished 5%.....

I don't beleive ive got anything at all... i have no tried propecia nor do i want to so i thought spironolactone would have to be my alternative...

Do u think it got systematically absorbed primo man??

It definitely did Jon, I've never understood this theory that topicals don't get systematically absorbed, obviously the absorption will be a lot less than taking the treatment orally, but a small amount will still inevitably get absorbed and if you have sensitive hormones like me, that's going to mean side effects!

Still if you've got through that much spironolactone already with no problems, then I'd stick with it man, I'm an unusual/very unlucky case so I wouldn't worry too much about it, many people use spironolactone with no problems, I just don't think my system can tolerate anti-androgens, I don't know why...
