Totally confused???

I'm totally confused why bald men complain about being bald yet refuse to wear or at least try a hair system?? I don't understand when you guys say,

''I could never wear something that is fake'' It's real human hair in the system,is it growing out of your scalp ? No but neither is your hair, the exact reason your wearing a system. if I told you they could take someone else's hair and transplant it into your head would you do it? Of course you would, but it's not your hair. Hair systems are the same difference.

'' I could never live a lie'' Getting hair transplant is no different, it's a cosmedic procedure.

'' I could never have something glued to my scalp'' But having hair transplanted into your scalp is better?

'' It's a wig'' No it's not a wig, a wig is not attached to your head that you take off on a whim and you can't show your hair line. A system is attached to your ,will not come off and you CAN show your hairline and is undetectable.

'' It's more expensive then a hair transplant'' No it's not even close. I spend less then $1,200 a year on my systems, maintance, and products.

'' It's a pain to maintain'' Not really I spend a hour a week changing the tape/glue of the front of my system.

1. A hair transplant is expensive
2. Does not always work
3. You run out of donor hair
4. It takes forever for your hair to grow if it even does
5. hair transplant Most of the time looks unnatural,(and this is your ''real'' hair) and will leave you with scars so if you do decide to shave your head you will look like a cut up melon.

A hair system has zero side effects, gives you a full or less then then full head or hair(you decide),you have hair right away, is less expensive, you can have any hair style you want.

You guys must think I'm a sales man or something, I'm just sitting here reading the posts about how hair loss has effected your life and it's sad. If treatments don't work and you just can't stand being bald get a system I'm telling you, it is the ONLY option to get a full head of hair not some fuzz or super short crap that the meds give you with side effects.

In a perfect world it would seem like the ultimate solution. That doesn't seem to be the case, though. I couldn't do it at this point. Maybe when things get worse.

I think for a lot of guys it's about the stress of using one. You'd be panicking whenever someone was looking at your hair, and there would likely be people who know that you did something, because you obviously have more hair, and you'd be worried that they'd say something about it.

I have really enjoyed reading your positive posts regarding hair systems lately, and if i ever get to the stage that i either need a hair transplant or a system - you are helping my all of a sudden seriously consider a system in the future..

I guess there are obstacles to both a hair transplant and a system, but in essence they are pretty much the same - you will have to tell your close friends and family you have had either, but once that is settled and over then it's just the general public to contend with, and from some of the better pictures i have seen the good systems are undetectable..

The thought of having a thick mane spiked up and blow dried is heaven to me...not messing around covering patches and applying toppik etc...

And finally, wearing a system will buy you time, buy you a scarless head, and will save you $$ for the day that better treatments or cloning comes along etc...

I'm nowhere near needing one yet, maintaining quite well actually, but damn if i ever get as depressed as some people here i know for a fact i will at least try it...

Good luck gents!

It is expensive. But you can search and go for better hair transplant. Hairs are very important.

lol see I told you it was cheap!! To correct myself the real number is $1,200 a year and I get a new system every 2 months. Some people get 3 or 4 systems a year so it's even cheaper then that. Fact is if your a NW4 or more a hair transplant is either not going to be possible or just make you look less bald. I don't want to be less bald or thinning. I went from a NW6 to a NW1,full head of thick hair that I can style anyway I want. I love getting up in the morning and doing my hair! Is it perfect,no,is it worth it absolutly!

i think the main reason, is that when someone finds out, close family or friends or watever, it would be so embarrassing, that there would be no benefit over just exposing ur baldness.

simply put, id rather just be bald. if i cant grow it, its not real, and i dont want it.

bald men are the dregs of society.

Really? How so? How does someone who manifests the bald gene to no fault of their own qualify as a "dreg of society"?

Your statement is about as offensive as it gets. I'm bald and work a job to support my family and enrich my daughters life. How is that being a dreg on society exactly? Maybe if you grew out of your testosterone fueled adolescent mentality for two seconds you can realize that there is more to life than having perfectly symetrical chiseled features, a six pack and drive a fancy sports car.... such a pillar of the community!

perhaps ''dregs of aesthetics'' would be a more appropriate statement.

im considering getting ''genetic trash'' tattooed somewhere on my body.

Along with male pattern baldness our genes dictate the future course of other more and/or equally important functions in our bodies ie :heart disease. Other than my predisposed hair loss I am overall very thankful how well my genetic make-up has been to me so far.Laughter and good fun are tantamount to our precious and precarious sense of well being.

Anyone here aware of the tv show -The Bold and The Beautiful- ?

as a kid my knowledge of English was poor i assumed that bold meant bald. at a very young age it was revieled to me (even though by mistake) that there were two distinct, separate categories of people - The Beautiful (hair people) and The Bald. and the first seeds of relentless baldism were sown in me.

Could be natures way of eliminating the less desirable in society. I was at the store yesterday and saw a bunch of creepy old people. The thought that came to mind was "just because medical science can extend life doesn't mean it should".

Be thankful heart disease will shorten our lives.

So just because they weren't supermodels then they haven't any right to live? Why don't we just round up anyone who doesn't measure up to perfection and send them all to the gas chamber. Jesus, you youth/beauty obsessed a holes eugenic beliefs borderline the third reich's.
.... a special place in hell for you and your kind.

What are you talking about? I wasn't talking about normal people who aren't super models. I was talking about really old people. The human body was not designed to live past 45 or 50. You can see the big change after 60. Medical science has extended life when it shouldn't have. The result is a rotting body that just keeps living.

I am not saying we should round them up, but I think every person has a responsibility to call it quits when it is time. I for one will not try to extend my life with heart bypass surgery or cancer treatments.
