I've tested this theory I had about the amount of minoxidil you use directly effects the amount of hair growth you experience with the same results time and time again. I started this years ago with the initial question, "minoxidil 5% 3x is equal to Xandrox 15% 1x?" http://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/interact/viewtopic.php?t=19502
Since then I have tested going three month's using minoxidil 5% 3ml twice daily which promoted tremendous hair growth (which did also effect growth on my face, near upper cheeks and eyes) to using 1ml a few times a week which caused my hair to go very noticeably thinner and thinner also losing the hair by my eyes. I have gone back and forth with the same exact results SEVERAL times. When I start using more, it seems all of the hair I lost came right back, thicker and fuller. Then I tried using 2ml once daily, 5 days a week which seemed to keep me at a maintain state. Note, I also use Fincar daily and have been doing so from the start. I do not use Nizoral as I notice it dry's my scalp and hair making it look like straw and didn't notice any real effect on my male pattern baldness. I just use Tresemme Volumizing shampoo and if they have the volumizing conditioner at the store, I get that as well. Anyways, if anyone out there is having trouble with growth, don't give up, see if adding more helps, fine tune what promotes hair growth without sides etc... If you have heart problems, I've heard too much minoxidil is not good, so do your research. Also, my current regimen is Fincar 5mg (split in 4th's)which costs $75 for a years worth + Kirkland Minoxidil which costs $18.00 for three month supply at Costco(I use that in a month with my current regimen) Point is, this doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. Hope this helps someone....
