True Widows Peak or Receding Hairline?

Looks like a true widows peak ala Ewan McGregor. You're hair looks thick at the corners, so it very likely is a mature hairline... one I and dozens of others on here would very much enjoy having. I'm tired of having to style my hair forward whilst praying a gust of wind doesn't come my way and expose my balding pattern.

Doesn't look like male pattern baldness.

Its both a receding hairline with a true widow's peak. I have the same thing. Except my true widow's peak has thinned out over the past few years.

Do you have pictures of your hairline over the years as it changed?

I'm going to say both.. I always had "widows peaks" but at the arrow point is where my male pattern baldness got going in earnest. As I read elsewhere this damnable few square inches is "cosmetically significant" and it's the truth.

Were I you I would start to think about rubbing a bit of minoxidil up into those temples. I don't know why I resisted for so long but the truth is you have to catch this f---er early for best results. I'm only a month or two in on lipogaine so hard to say yet but I think I'm getting a little thickening / new hair. Also smearing in S5 once in a while but it's really hard to know whether that helps much.

F U male pattern baldness!

I'm already using nizoral shampoo for dandruff. I'm going to start using minoxidil foam at night on my hairline as a preventive measure to see if I notice any results.- - - Updated - - -- - - Updated - - -

What do you mean by the arrow point? Do you mean the peak in the middle? Do you have any photos to show the changes it went through? I'm going to take your advice and try minoxidil as a preventive measure. It can't hurt, right? And if I do have a receding hairline, it could only help right?

Looks like a NW2 hairline, so your hairline has receded, but it could stop there.

Luckily you seem to have a fairly low hairline, so I wouldn't really consider your hair loss cosmetically significant.

Are you responding to curprous' hairline or mines?

Yes, I mean the point in the middle, farthest back. Unfortunately I don't have any pics from before the recession but suffice it to say it's start to think out in the upper back part there. minoxidil can only help.. I've been on it for just about a month and impatiently awaiting improvement.

You should take some good close up photos of each temple and store them somewhere on your computer.
