Almost a Norwood 3 on the right side. The recession almost lines up wit the ears. Between a 2-2.5 on the left.

Norwood 2.5
I would hop on something stronger if I were you. Progressive hair loss and transplants don't talk at play dates.

stonger, hmm not sure i would do that. Im guessing you mean duta?
Hell no, dutasteride will kill off your hairline. I was thinking regular dose finasteride and maybe low dose of an anti androgen to see if that helps.

i thought dutasteride was same as finasteride but stronger. Why would it kill my hairline?

im currently on 0.75mg finasteride/ every 3 day. So 1.5mg/week which should be enough.

How long have you been on finasteride? 5 years?

Personally I don't see why you need a stronger regimen, minor loss in 5 years time don't seem like aggressive hairloss to me and you will be fine on your current treatments.
I think you still have a solid hairline and don't need a hair transplant yet. Just continue the treatments and reevaluate in a couple of years.

Nobody really knows the cause, some speculate its due to the high increase of testosterone. The hairline is usually the most sensitive area to all androgens so some people may be extra susceptible to testosterone negating the benefits of DHT inhibition. Its not that common, from what I've read its about 1 in 3 people this seems to happen to. That's way too high for me to consider the drug though.
0.75mg 3x a week is not enough. finasteride has a half life of 3 - 7 hours which means by the end of 24 hours your follicles will begin to get affected by DHT again. That's likely why you are still slowly balding. I think you are probably a good responder and upping your dosage to 1mg daily may provide some regrowth for you.

ye been on finasteride for 5 years. Was on 1.25mg daily the first 3-4 years but then lowered my dosage because i read that the optimal is atleast 1.4mg/week and more than that its just overkill.

Don't you think the reason you are thinning in front is due to your reduced dosage? finasteride does lose effectiveness over time and your current regimen may not be enough.
