basically im thinking of stopping propecia for abit, or maybe for good for a few reasons.

if i was to though, i need to think of a new war to attack DHT. spironolactone is an option. what im wondering, is with spironolactone, how much dht does it block? also, does it just block scalp dht or also systemtically and the blood serum dht?

does any side affects come with it....

don't think there any sides with spironolactone. if you stop finasteride you should also get Revivogen, prox-n (or proxiphen, whichever one u think is best) from http://www.drproctor.com, folligen, tricomin...

any one else have any other suggestions?

and i'd also recommend u to try the scalp exercises below.

No, not at all. Copper ions apparently inhibit DHT (Bryan clarified this before), not copper peptides. But you can't use copper ions on your scalp.

bryan just posted that the right kind of green tea extract may be a super powerful AR and 5ar inhibitor. I wonder if it will render RU obsolete. Still waiting for a reply from Bryan.

What about Revivogen?

Here's what it says about Revivogen on it's site:

Q. What is Revivogen and how does it work?
Revivogen is a topical formula made of natural active ingredients that have been scientifically proven to be the most potent anti-DHT compounds known today. Revivogen Scalp Therapy works by decreasing the levels of DHT in the scalp. This allows the hair follicles to rejuvenate and produce thicker and stronger hair, creating a fuller and healthier head of hair.

I know alot of people on here go this route when finasteride side effects get too much.

its made my semen VERY thin, almost see through, and 1/4 - 1/3 as much as it used to be. i used to have thick semen. its such a difference in 3 months. it kicked in around the 2 month mark. Im gonna see the doctor about it all anyway coz i failed a fertility test aswell which worries me GREATLy.

Try 10mg of finasteride into your minoxidil bottle, you still have plenty of tablets to burn anyway. Otherwise, looks like you'll have to revivogen or spironolactone.

If you have fertility problems, finasteride is a big fat no!

arginine helps with errections, but I don't know about semen. Try L-arginine for a while and see if that helps in a week. Take 2g per day and eat 40g of soy protein a day, which has a lot more arginine than whey protein, (and more glutamine, for you body builders).

This is bull sh^t. dutasteride will kick revivogen's a** at blocking the formation of DHT, and RU88841 will block the binding of DHT to the androgen receptor, which revivogen won't even do, except maybe to a small extent, according to one study, though another contradicts that.

Revivogen is a good topical, but I read that green tea extract will out perform it, unless it already has green tea extract. It does not say how much, so I'd rather make my own and know I have enough in there. I think they can say it is the second strongest 5ar1 blocker known of yet. I don't know if it blocks 5ar2, but considering what some people said it does to arm hair, I think it does.

i doubt that largenine or however u spell it would help with semen quality, as its the interference of finasteride with the prostate which makes this happen.

i do beleive that finasteride makes the prostate secrete much more dilluted liquids which mix in with the semen and thats why this happens, along with a whole bunch of other stuff!

That is just one site where you can guy green tea extract powder cheap. Since it is so cheap, put 1 gram in your folligen or minoxidil, shake it up, and let it sit and dissolve all the soluble stuff. Then if you don't want the insoluble powder on your hair, you can filter it, but I think you should just use your dropper to suck the good liquid off the top.

Same is true with apple poly pills. You got to empty the capsules into to the liquid and discard the empty capsules.

Now grape seed extract is a little different. It is not water soluble, but it is soluble in ethanol, which is how wine gets it. Minoxidil and folligen both have ethanol, but I don't know how fast it dissolves off the insoluble powder. So I add mine to 3 bottles of minoxidil, and it probably gets better after a month.

The green tea has stuff that inhibits 5ar and the androgen receptor. They did not test the other anti-oxidants, but those stimulated growth about as well as minoxidil, give or take. I did not see the original study. Just the one on the sales sight, and some second hand accounts from other people.

And if you got AC spray with copper gluconate, just go buy SOD capsules, with tri-amino complex, and put them in the AC spray. I'll put them in my borage fatty acids and put them on my face once a day when I make it all.

From my chemistry lessons, anytime you have a salt in solution (which I believe copper peptide is), you have copper ions. I am 100 certain that copper in solution is the ions.

I specifically asked Dr. Proctor about that several years ago. He said that the bond in a copper peptide is NOT an ionic bond, but something else. So it doesn't leave copper ions in solution.
