To keep your hair, then yes, you'll need to take Finasteride for the long-term.

I`m not very knowledgeable on this subject, but AFAIK, if you have a hair transplant, the standard is to go with finasteride anyways.. Otherwise, your hair loss will progress and you will end up with the transplanted hair only (i.e. the other parts of your head will go bald)...

In order for you to really know what type of hair loss you are experiencing you have to go to a specialist or doctor to rule out the problem. From the looks of it looks like baldness.

well then the good news is :u have high chance tht it couldn't be a male pattern baldness go to a derm to check it , it could be a Telogen Effluvium or smthing else who knows
