What's the best way to apply Rogaine foam?

I was a regular on this board a couple of years ago but I'm too lazy to look up my old screenname and I probably can't remember the password anyway.

Anyway, today I started using Rogaine foam. I sprayed it into the cap and took it out bit by bit and applied it to my scalp. It says to massage it into your scalp but the foam is so dry. How do you massage something so dry into your scalp? Should I spray it into my hand and apply it all at once? Do any of you apply it bit by bit like me?

I squirt it straight onto my scalp and then push it around with my index finger and massage in. It stays wet for a short while. However, I always wonder how much of the stuff gets absorbed onto my index finger and not my scalp! If you're really worried about this maybe buy a pack of latex gloves and use them to apply...
