Where online can I get Rogaine 5% without a prescription?

Hi

I live in Canada and have been on minoxidil 2% for about 20 months. I haven't tried Finasteride for various reasons.

I want to try Rogaine 5% but here in Canada you need a prescription to get it and I really don't have the time or the energy to get one.

Is there any way I could get the 5% from an American website without a prescription? I'm looking for a site that's been in use for awhile in order to make sure that my credit card number isn't ripped. A site with some good prices would help, too.

Thanks
Brian

You could try drugstore.com, might cost a little more but you are safe buying thru them and they ship internationally.

Topper - I bought some Xandrox from Dr. Lee's web site http://www.minoxidil.com. But he sells regular minoxidil, spironolactone and all sorts of other goodies. He waives the $20 consultation fee for those outside the U.S. and shipping is only $5 to Canada.

His own products are a little more pricey, but the regular minoxidil. is $20 for a one month supply. Another nice thing is he puts 'free cosmetic samples' on the shipping box so you don't have to worry about customs or duty. Took about a week to get here from order date to Toronto.

You can probably find Kirkland minoxidil cheaper somewhere else. I'm just reporting my experiences. If I wanted regular minoxidil. I'd probably just pick it up OTC on a trip to the States.

Some canucks get their generic 5% from ebay or http://www.wholesalehairproducts.com

There are lots of other sites online where you can get it. http://www.google.com/search?hair loss=en&ie=I ... minoxidil+

You may be better off going with one of the online retailers rather than ebay sellers, as some have disclaimers re: shipments to Canada. They aren't all that likely to be taken by customs, but it can happen.

I'm from Canada too and I had no problems at all ordering online at http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... gory=31413

It costs about 34$ (can) for 4x20ml bottles (Kirland's minoxidil) + s&h. The seller is rich9969 . Anyway he might have more than 1 auction so just search for ''Rogaine 5%'' and you'll find it.

It might not be the Rogaine brand, but hey it comes a lot cheaper than the 2% Apotex minoxidil in Canada. :)

I live in the lower mainland in BC so I just go over to Bellingham and get it from there.

In South east asia region,

Doctors are only good in giving out presciption.

I went to a doctor and without even looking at my hair, straight away, prescribe minoxidil for me.

And you know what, starting minoxidil is one of the worst experience I am going thru right now....

I shed when i stop 2 months ago and I am now going on a 1 x daily application.

why is 5% not sold in Canada?

That's a good question; I asked my local drugstore about minoxidil 5% and their answer was that they could make some on the spot, though only with a prescription. Anyways, it was clear that they weren't used to prepare some often: they also couldn't even tell me how much they would sell it and in what size it would come in... I basically had to wait over 15 minutes while they asked the other pharmacists about it and eventually consulted their register. I had the same problem with Revivogen; nobody knew about it and it wasn't even in their database.

Try to figure this out: the brand making minoxidil (2%) here is called Apotex and it comes in 2x60 ml bottles for 70$ can. Now I can get 4x60 ml minoxidil 5% bottles off the net (Kirkland's) for approximately 40$ can, so the choice is obvious :D I'll be happy as long as the Canadian customs won't charge me any fees to let my minoxidil in from the US.

And BTW I felt quite uncomfortable being seen with Apotex's bottles and packaging; it has a really silly cartoonish close-up of a 50-year-old man with pepper-and-salt hair... and I'm only 22!! (sigh) :hairy:
