why do hairloss products stop working?

If you use the big 3 your whole life and it worked for a couple years, why does it "wear off"?

If you started hairloss in your early twenties, is it possible to make it to your 50's before going completely bald by just using hairloss products? if not, what about 40's?

In my opinion, hairloss treatments don't generally "wear off". I feel that what happens in most of those cases is that the male pattern baldness itself probably gets worse and worse as men get older, eventually overtaking the beneficial effect of the treatments they were using.
