Why does the nizoral bottle say use up to 8 weeks?

I have used it for exactly 8 weeks now, once every 3 days. I was wondering what happens after 8 weeks and why they recommend stopping at this time? I have sebhoreic dermatitis and I believe it has gotten better but it is not gone. I am not taking any medication nor am i currently losing any hair. Should I continue every 3 days or stop usage? Thanks.

Ehhh...think you better read the bottle again....

One bottle can last you 8 weeks. When you finished the bottle.......you buy another one!

the bottle says, "use every 3-4 days for up to 8 weeks or as directed by a doctor. Then use only as needed to control dandruff"

Then your bottle is different from mine, mine says nothing about "as directed by your doctor".

But the last sentence reads.....as directed by doctor or then only as dandruff control....so!!!

1) Use it every 3 - 4 days initially or if you have been given it by a doctor then use it according to his/her directions.
2) When your 8 weeks are up use it once in a while to control dandruff (once every week or so) or continue to use as per the doctors prescription.

You're supposed to use it frequently to begin with to get rid of the dandruff then only use it once in a while to control it.

Seriously though, don't be so pedantic about what it says on the bottle. Just use it every 3-4 days all year around. No harm to be done.

I've used it for a year and have yet to grow a third arm or anything.

In fact, I've come to love how it feels on my head when I let it work, SOOO good. I don't know what it's doing but I wet my hair and throw a gob in and I can feel it bubbling away and nearly massaging my head.

I love it.

The labeling on the bottle is corporate CYA.

In the phrase "use every 3-4 days for up to 8 weeks or as directed by a doctor. Then use only as needed to control dandruff" substitute "control dandruff" with "control seb derm-like syndrome associated with male pattern baldness" and proceed usage.

well if you read the actually instructions that come with the nizoral then you will notice that it says that one of the side effects in some cases is hairloss. So i wouldnt overuse nizoral, once your dandruff is gone only use it once a week. Also if it has not controlled your dandruff then go to your Doctor.

Tanks man, I have been avatar experimenting over the last few weeks and I feel settled now. I just hope I don't have another avatar frenzy over the weekend. It worries me almost as much as hairloss.....
