It does look like a double crown. But it also looks like male pattern baldness. You know your hair better than anybody else though.. Does it look worse?

You don't have any serious hair loss! No need to panic. Just keep an eye on it over the next few years take pictures and compare but only do it every six months or so. People can be arseholes especially if they know you are worried about it.

It looks like a good thick head of hair but, possibly early signs of balding. You can undercut it, grow out the top, and fade into the shape of your head. If it's balding, buzz or shave your head.

Just really shocked as I thought this was just a normal pattern for a double crown. Can someone let me know if a dermatologist can tell right away. Also should I just go on something straight away if so. I’ve heard that crown hair does grow back?

The general consensus is that crownhair is easier to grow than the hairline, yes. You are obviously in the very early stages which is the best time if there was one. The most a dermatologist can do is a biopsy to rule out any other possibilities and check for miniaturization. Biopsies are expensive and personally I don’t think blood results would reveal anything because vitamin and mineral deficiencies don’t focus at the crown. Some photos of your temples and hair line and people here could confirm or deny miniaturization. If you want the ‘bald spots’ to go away I would suggest a bit of rogaine foam right in the center of each of them once a day. It kind of looks like you may be thinning in a Norwood 6 pattern but that could just be the way your hair grows. I would monitor this especially.
