Wouldn't a dermaroller cut your hairs?

I have been considering purchasing a dermaroller to use on my crown to ensure that minoxidil is reaching the hair follicle. I have one simple question I'd like to ask:

My hair is quite long these days and I have concerns that by "dermarolling" over my hair I will be in effect cutting some of my hair as I do it. Does this happen? I mean, wouldn't the needles split or actually cut some of your hair while you're doing this? I know the needles are very small, but they must be really sharp, right? Or is this something to not be concerned about. Was just a random thought I had while driving the other day. I'm all set to purchase a dermaroller. Done a lot of research on this product but can't seem to find an answer on the internet to this one last concern that I have before I buy one.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I also tried the dermaroller, and I also wondered about it. It is recommended to pull the instrument only in one direction, not back. And slowly.

If you still worry about this, then you should rather try the dermastamp.
