FYI. All of us here including me have got here on our own. We've made our own decision on whether to get treatments (finasteride, etc.) and if so, which. So please don't be a drama queen!

I probibly should not have written my thread ib the way I did. I see it comes of like being a bit cocky. But you could have told me this in a normal, decent way. And not by telling me I am childish and an ungratefull ****. When I am superrrr grateful that the meds did work out for me. I can't start explaining to you how grateful I am !

So instead of raping everybody's post and threads on this forum, go and do some self assessment first.
(Yes I have read some of your posts, and I can't believe what you write sometimes ... Example given: I was reading some guys thread and he was asking a sincere questions about meds, and then I see you answer his thread with a really stupid remark, which I can't recall at the moment, but anyhow it had nothing to do with the guys questions. Pls, do some self assessment.

you are right I maybe did post this thread with a bit of a rush and without using the proper words. I was just frustrated about the fact that some people register, and never post anything. But oke, I see my wrong now. So there you go, I'm being the bigger man, and I'm admitting.

On the other hand, you have no right to be calling me childish. You don't know me so you have no right. I'm not offending you with filthy and stupid words, so you can grow up, and stop using those words.

You are totally right Brandnew88. We should not be arguing on this forum about stuff that don't have anything to do with hair-loss.
I maybe used a couple of sentences that I shouldn't have put in my thread, but then again I am here to just give an update on my hair situation that is all..

I did not ask Talmoode and Quantom to come on my thread and start telling me I am a child and give all kinds of unappropriated comments.I hope this "argument" ends here.

I called you an A-hole, bc you were insulting me, and telling me I was a child, and basically it came down to the fact you said I was egocentric. You had no right saying that, i didn't insult anyone with my thread. So you should not insult me either. But you did... That is why I reacted on your insult and insulted back. I had every right to. I hope you see your mistake, and stop this pls. I except your apology, and no hard feelings.

Good. I'm only 15 days in to taking dutasteride 0.5mg every day. Nothing to report yet since i'm also taking finasteride 1.25mg/day, I had a little bit of shedding on finasteride, it did slow down my hair loss, but now with dutasteride the shedding stopped completely.

About being more involved in the forum in order to get answers to your questions, did it ever occur to you that maybe these people can't be more involved because they can't be of much help? And that is why they are asking for help? To be more informed and maybe pass on the information they learned from more knowledgeable members. This site does seem to ignore "newbies" looking for help. I am part of another hair loss site in which I only have about 2 years there as opposed to 4 years on this site, and I have almost 1,000 posts on this other site. That is because they were helpful right off the bat so I got to learn faster. I didn't have to be a hair loss specialist and be "involved" with my little knowledge, just to get some advice.

With that said, I like this site anyway, it's "different", and it's very active. I don't log in much, but I lurk sometimes and enjoy reading the posts and conversations. I will say that the Opening Poster could have gone about this in a different, less provocative, way.

Another thing to Balding89, you can not hate the posters who told you dutasteride is dangerous. The is the problem with people, they go by what other people tell them and don't try things themselves. I have heard it all about finasteride and dutasteride, yet i'm i've been taking finasteride for 3 years with no side effects, and now I added dutasteride, with no side effect to reports still [fingers crossed that I never encounter any negative sides]. You have to try things out yourself. Dutasteride is not a girl that your boys are telling you to stay away from because she has AIDs. Dutasteride is an FDA approved drug, it is safe to use for BPH, and a lot of male pattern baldness sufferers use it for their hair loss with success.

Well, Avodart stopped my hair shed after only 1 month of daily use. (It did the thing finasteride failed to do... and finasteride made worse in my opinion);

I just wanted to report that I really think it is strange that I don't lose any hair when showering ... That can't be normal right ?

It is said that a person with no male pattern baldness loses like 50 -100 hairs a day. (which was the case for me, when I started and kept on using finasteride)

Today, I really really really rubbed my scalp when I was showering, and nothing nothing nothing was lost ... Not even a single hair ... It is so strange :s

After I showered I took a brush and brushed my hair for like 2 minutes above the sink. And again nothing.

Even if duta totally stopped the progression of male pattern baldness, I would still have to lose a minimum of 20 hairs or something no ?
