Tamoxifen has hair loss listed as a possible side effect but I have never personally experienced it. I also know that most here know that estrogen can increase clotting risk, but raloxifene also has clotting as a side effect though I am not so sure how risky those 2 are together.

In the steroid community Ralox and Tamoxifen were both used for gyno as sometimes Tamox was more effective than Ralox and vice versa.

Personally, I'd have preferred Ralox. But sh*t happens.

[UPDATE] I have been on bicalutamide for around three months so far, whilst using estradiol for five months. My main side effects are that my scalp becomes dry and itchy, although this is combated using a nourishing hair conditioner. I also have puffy nipples, although I’m not sure I can contribute breast growth to these medications since I have also gained almost 10kg since March. Nevertheless, gynecomastia is the lesser of two evils.

This is my hair currently, with the photo taken today:

My hair loss specialist was somewhat correct about one aspect, which is myself becoming an NWV. In fact, my hairline was about to become that if treatments were delayed by a couple of months considering the hostility of my hair loss. I was lucky enough to have mini hairs around my hairline which represented an NW1, which could explain why my hairline reached this point faster than expected. In terms of density, it has definitely increased significantly since my last update.

Note: I do have hair fibres in the main section of my hair, but nowhere near my hairline, which is why the focus on this update is on the hairline rather than the overall density. You will just have to take my word that the density of my hair has improved, unfortunately...

Nice, looks like you are getting a ton of regrowth. You definitely caught your hair loss at a pivotal stage. Happy for you!

Ridiculous. This is exactly my pattern in the before pic which has sped up insanely the last two months. It's not fair that we have to take female hormones for this BS. Plus there's an insane burning on my temples that were on and off before but now it's 24/7 and I was already on dutasteride which didn't stop anything. Is it possible that some people don't have DHT sensitivity but rather lose hair because of testosterone? Or is it always both

I think it’s both, they’re both forms of testosterone; DHT is just the converted form, through 5AR enzymes. I used to feel depressed about getting on such medications, or any medications at all, but I am happy with my choice now. I still won’t touch finasteride though, that name just gives me flashbacks of horror...

Since DHT bind more strongly so a huge proportion of people are done with fina or duta.

Both causes hairloss. This is androgenic alopecia not dihydrotestosterone alopecia.

Hopefully I can have hair like yours one day... I want to grow mine long, although it definitely will probably take years upon years.

Biotin + MSM + Silica + Inversion technique. All are part of broscience though. ;-)

Maybe, but muscles take a long time to atrophy whereas someone like Bridgeburn had massive regrowth in slick bald areas in only a few months. And it's not like skull size decreases on estrogen.

I think that partly has to do with his method of estradiol administration being oral. Sublingual (which seems most popular among mtf patients and what most users take here I believe) suppresses T more than oral. In fact injections, which have the highest T suppression, are often administered by doctors without an AA at all and patients can reach optimal T levels.
