Yeah he does, but I doubt finasteride will give good regrowth on a NW6-7, it is the transplants that did it.

Man why are transplants so inconsistent? The hair type of Tillman isn't even what people consider to be great for transplants yet his result looks good, but then someone else with same hair type get's a bad result wat.

Agree with @justinbieberscombover. Somewhat, he is 6 because of the crown area.

3 big differences compared to OP.

1. Most important reason is OPs balding dips down the back of his head into the donor area which doesn't happen to Tillman and I believe it could possibly happen to him if he didn't go on finasteride. Looking at your crown photo from behind you have much less surface area to use as donor hair. It would be impossible to cover what Joe covered with that.

2. The sides of Joes hair are much higher, maybe ½ to 1 inch higher.

3. OP has a bad head shape for a hair transplant because of how big it is, especially the crown area. So much surface area to cover.

It sucks man. I hate to say this but I think your hair loss is even worse than my dad's. My dad is a Norwood 7 but he hit that at like 50. Probably was a Norwood 6 in his 40s and Norwood 4 at late 30s. Your only real hope is some major breakthrough in cloning or skin regeneration. If I were you I'd just shave it really short. The horseshoe pattern is doesn't really work.

I think if something like verteporfin or fak1 inhibitors become proven methods to regenerate donor hair after extraction then you could get a full head of hair again but you are looking at a long process. A gradual process to revert you back a Norwood level each 2 years.

1st transplant would be from Norwood 7 TO 6 which won't help you much but you can't just go straight to hairline, won't look natural.
2nd would be Norwood 6 to 5a which again would be a seamless transition.

3rd and 4th would be to get you a hairline and midscalp with good density.

5th to 6/7th would be filling the crown.

All hypothetical though but if the technology existed that's how I'd go about it.

Here's a better view of the side and back. I think the other picture I posted makes it seem worse than it actually is.

Honestly it doesn't change my opinion at all. You can't tell me looking at those pictures that the sides and back end of the horseshoe pattern are as high as Joe Tillman.

As a matter of fact you might be the most severe case I've ever seen. And I thought my dad had it the worst but to compare... my dad is Norwood 7 and his horse shoe pattern doesn't dip as severely. Everything below the black line is solid density. On top he has like 2 to 3 hairs per cm²

You have an extreme dip into the donor area. I've never seen anything like it.

edit: read through the post and you said you don't want one, I think you should shave it down to a 1 or 2 on the back and sides. Leaving hair as long as yours is on the back and sides looks a little creepy.

You could definitely pull off the bald look mate. Just shave it all off.

It looks worse with hair at this point since there isn't much left.

You Will look a lot more confident if you embrace the bald look than try to rock 5% of your hair and thereby highlight that you are 95% bald.

I know it will come as a shock for a few days/weeks once you first go slick bald, but you will get used to it.

Or, try to get a hair system, work an extra job, find another way to make money, see where you can cut costs and get a hair system.

Well f***. I didn't know I was really that bad off. And I look horrible with a shaved head so I'm just stuck like this.
