    Provillus Procerin etc

Re: Provillus ********* etc Finasteride and Minoxidil are generally regarded as the two best options currently available to fight hairloss, and they are the only two FDA approved drugs specific to hairloss. Nizoral, Tricomin, maybe lazers are worth considering. Products such as Provillus...

    The big 3

Oops forgot, regarding the cut pill/oxidation issue.........I just toss my quartered proscar into an old airtight prescription pill container right away (as opposed to leaving them in the pill cutter)

    The big 3

Have you ever used a liquid minoxidil solution? I, like some, have had better results with liquid than foam. Try it for a few months, you can always switch back. You still have pretty good hair but you are doing the right thing by addressing the issue early.

Opinions or reviews on Azelaeic acid?

Tim - I've used various generic versions of Head and Shoulders shampoo, they all contain 1% zinc pyro. For the price you can't beat it. H & S does, I think, make a version with 2% zinc p. A few years back I was using zix for about half a year and also had reduced shedding. I am aware of the...

Can you stick to your regimen for the long run?

Like the band KISS says.........Keep It Simple Stupid I've fiddled with zix, emu oil, even Nioxin in the past. Now my regimin consists of popping a quartered fincar tab and 6 sprays of Dr. Lees. Quick and easy, and I know these products work. The best motivating factor in any regimin...

    Rogaine Foam: Role call

I was on foam for over 2 years, then switched back to liquid. My best guess was that, for me, the foam was about 66% as effective as the liquid regarding results Of course, results have varied widely, so it is definitly a gamble to commit to foam if you are having good results, and can...

Opinions or reviews on Azelaeic acid?

Dunno bout the acid, but I've been using a generic version of Head and Shoulders shampoo for over a year and can highly recommend it. It contains the zinc pyro and has greatly reduced my daily shedding and leaves my hair with a nice texture. I use it almost daily, but at first I had to work it...

Ok, so it's come down to me using Propecia.

oh yeah I forgot.........recommended shampoo is Nizoral 2% (or 1%) two to three times a week. Personally I recommend Head and Shoulders, contains zinc

Ok, so it's come down to me using Propecia.

makes no difference day or nite........they suggest taking it at the same time daily so as to develop a routine to guard against missed doses. Food doesn't matter, can be taken with or without food (tho a glass of water is suggested)

I made the switch.. back to LIQUID!

Well I gave foam 2 years and it never really gave the excellent results I got from liquid, so I switched back. I actually find using a sprayer (liquid) much preferrable to smearing foam in my hair. Never liked how it left my hand smelling, even after repeated washings. IMO foam doesn't, and...

    rogaine liquid vs foam..........

It's worth a try. Some have had good results by switching, others (like me) lost ground. You can always switch back, shouldn't be a problem. If you are allergic to PPG, foam will solve that. The smell doesn't bother me much.

Which minoxidil product to use for me?

If you can tolerate PPG, cheap ole generic Rogaine like Equate or Kirkland works great (better than foam IMO). Lee's, DNC, Remox are quite a bit more expensive but more user freindly

Is Dr. Lee's no PPG minoxidil as good as regular?

What I meant was I didn't see any return policy anywhere on his website. Some treatments give a money back guarantee, etc. I was hoping if #500 was too irritating I could send it back in exchange for #540.

    starting Propecia at 49?

Cassin, Bryan- I read it somewhere online while gathering info on finasteride (started it 4 days ago). It wasn't in a forum, so I'll try to remember where I saw it and pass it along. Such "misinformation" does exist though.

Is Dr. Lee's no PPG minoxidil as good as regular?

You've been very helpful, Cassin :) . I didn't see it on his website but can I return any products to Lee for a refund if it's too irritating? Also, as horrible as Equate felt, man did it grow hair. OTOH foam was a huge relief but I saw minimal results. Do you subscribe to the school of...
