Is Dr. Lee's no PPG minoxidil as good as regular?

Thinking of getting some, as Equate minoxidil was really itchy (but worked terrific).

Equate took a long time to dry (a few hours). Will the no PPG dry faster?

How does Dr. Lees rate against DNC or Promox?

I have been using Dr Lees item 500 for a very long time and in my opinion it is superior to regular rogaine since it dries faster and the higher alcohol may improve delivery of the minoxidil.

From what I have heard the No PPG formula is slower to dry than regular minoxidil.

Regular rogaine was far too itchy for me as well.

Cassin, about what % less itchy, if at all, would Lees #500 be compared to regular? It is the cheapest he sells....I'd use it if the irritation was minimal and tolerable

Put another way, how much worse than the foam?

I had absolutely horrible itching from regular rogaine/generic. It was a terrible product for my scalp as I could not handle the PPG.

I have been using item 500 for a long time and I have no problems with it although the high alcohol content can dry your scalp. A nice hydrating conditioner once or twice a week will help you here.

I also rotate in the foam whenever I think of it and have had no problems with it either.

Any other questions you got fire away.

You've been very helpful, Cassin :) . I didn't see it on his website but can I return any products to Lee for a refund if it's too irritating?

Also, as horrible as Equate felt, man did it grow hair. OTOH foam was a huge relief but I saw minimal results. Do you subscribe to the school of thought "liquid a hassle but grows hair, foam awesome but don't grow hair". I think I do

Cassin, I'd had horrible itching and scaling to regular Rogaine as well that's why I stopped using it; I was told it was the PPG that was the problem but you said that Dr. Lee's #500 didn't make you itch (30% PPG)... So would that mean that it was something else in the Rogaine and not PPG that people are irritated by?

What I meant was I didn't see any return policy anywhere on his website. Some treatments give a money back guarantee, etc. I was hoping if #500 was too irritating I could send it back in exchange for #540.
