Here is a recent study (2011) about adding a derivte of curcuma with 5% minoxidil. Interesting results !

It is proven scientifically but the success is very limited. That's true that it is very hard to make a judgment. However, there are studies about oral treatment that prove that it is as less effective as a placebo. So for the moment, I suggest another treatment as this one IMO is a loss of time.
