I just use off-the-shelf products like L'Oreal. My colour is black/brown.
I tend to leave the dye on for around 15 to 20 minutes, which is less than you would do with bio hair.
Be careful not to get dye on the base, especially at the hairline!
the sun/heat has been very bad for my system too - and that's in the UK where we barely get any sunshine normally!
I've had to dye my system twice, using any normal hair dye... i think I used Clairol. Leave it in for around 15 - 20 mins, worked for me.
Don't bother with back2natural , it...
I find it worrying that @grincher hasn't replied because he was a long time advocate of Richard and I could see why - the quality was very very good. I hope Richard is OK.
Quite sure it was the C22 'orange' scented spray, which fortunately isn't available any more (I think the company closed down). Once the damage was done, there was no way to save the system
I haven't had the same problem since, but I note that UTS (obviously) deteriorates over time and is...
You're doing something wrong for sure, but it should be solvable.
Have you washed the base of the system and let it dry?
When putting bond on your scalp are you letting that touch-dry (5 minutes ought to be enough)?
Use 2 layers of bond, leaving 2 or 3 mins between each one.
Don't do any...
It's going to be difficult hiding it for that length of time, in hot weather, swimming regularly, whilst being with your gf basically 24/7. The biggest challenge is the hairline, because that will be the most obvious exposed area.
I wear 0.03 thin skin and I can tell you it is uncomfortable in...
You should be using leave in conditioners every week, or even more regular. I use them as styling products too because they provide a nice light hold. I never use gels or hairsprays because they dry out the hair quickly.
I use Aussie leave-in conditioner spray. There are other posts on this...
Dunno about tape, because I use white bond like Ghost Bond. You could use tape as normal on the perimeter and then some Ghost Bond for the parting. Though I wonder, you must be bonding the poly down somehow anyway, else it would feel horrible with just the perimeter bonded. That's the whole...
The lack of adhesive is the problem. You will need to bond it down to get rid of the plastic look.
You could try NYX Shine Killer too. It's a pre-make-up serum that women use to reduce shine on their faces. Don't use it on the hairline/border because it destroys the bond (very effectively I...
5% won't be noticeable. It depends on your age and how grey your bio sides are, but generally I would start with 10% which is very barely noticeable and then increase as the years go by. I'm up to 20% but I am late 40s and tend to dye my sides to keep a more youthful look (or so I fool myself to...
