Two questions: poly system and my current lace one

Hey guys I have two questions:

I currently wear my lace system just behind my hairline but it’s getting to the point when it’s obvious it’s not my real hair. Will an ultra thin poly system look more realistic? Anyone here wear one?

My lace system has a poly rim all the way but lace at the front. But tape doesn’t keep it stuck down. Any solutions for this?

Thanks in advance

I currently wear a UTS poly and i prefer the hair line on my old hybrid that had a lace hairline in terms of how it looks but like you I tried everything and it would just not stay down, to the point I was doing touch ups every couple of days!! I think it’s about of a trade off, short of trial and error with all minor of different glued or taped have a look at max hold sport glue you can use that it says with any glue or tape for a stronger hold

What makes you say it’s looking obvious it’s not your own hair out of interest

Hey man. When someone stands behind me and looks into my head, it’s quite obvious it’s a wig. I’m guessing with a 0.04 poly, people won’t have that issue as the poly skin replicates your scalp?

If you attach some photos it'll be easier to understand and advise. I don't see how anyone looking from behind you would tell it's a system. It doesn't look that way with most systems I've seen. Maybe it's the hair style?

I wear UTS and normal white bond keeps it held down firmly for days. I tend to use just one layer of bond and I clean/re-bond every 7 days on average. Personally I find that this feels better than keeping the system on 2+ weeks without a refresh.

I don't think it'll be a good idea to fit a UTS behind your hairline - unless you have a decent density of real hair at the front and can maybe sweep the hair in any specific direction to cover the system hairline.
