finasteride only.. As far as my recovery goes... I was doing good for the first 5 days with my erections, and now I have crashed. My libido is the same or even worse as it was when I was on finasteride. On top of that my hair has started to shed real bad. I dont know what to do, Im soo sad/depressed/frustrated.

Just know that you are taking a risk when you start on this drug. I thought the same thing before I decided to start it. I heard about the side effects and brushed it off thinking "oh, those won't happen to me" or "these forums have skewed statistics on common side effects" etc... and 4 months...

Question -- is there any advantage to wean myself off this drug vs quitting cold turkey. I'm afraid if I completely stop the medication, it will throw my hormones off due to sudden increase in DHT vs a gradual change by decreasing my dose over time

As others have said I experienced the same thing for about the first 2-3 weeks. It quickly wears off and all the negative side effects will soon take over and you will regret messing up your bodys hormones. Stop now while you're ahead

Thanks for the reassurance, I am hoping that is the case. But I can't help but worry with seeing countless stories with these sides being persistent or irreversible. Your bodys hormone levels are very sensitive, and once they are out of whack, it can change the chemistry of your brain, possibly...

I had been taking finasteride 1.25mg / day for exactly 4 months.... About a month after I started taking it I noticed a slight decrease in my libido. I was thinking its no biggie.. Instead of wanking off once a day I would do it maybe every other day. Then eventually it led to every 2-3 days...and so...

you wont know they wont work unless you try them. then one day when you go completely bald at least you know that you tried to save ur hair. the worst feeling is going bald and not knowing if you could have saved your hair if you tried.

One of my grandfather died young, so I never met him. But my other grandfather has a lot of hair and he is like 75. never went bald. my dad isnt completely bald but doesnt have a lot of hair up in the front. my mother also has very thin hair

I use to use a lot of Head n Shoulders. One time i used the Extra Strength Head N Shoulders which i noticed made my hair weaker

ive used the foam for one day and no shedding yet. im crossing my fingers for day 2

i just bought some rogaine foam cuz i think im going bald and i started using it today. should i continue using it or hold off? the front of my head doesnt have a lot of hair...and my hair is becoming really thin and you can see my scalp. scary!! :freaked: (im 19 yrs old btw) u be the judge!
