Ithink everybody on this site is kidding themselves thinking that we can reverse our hairloss.Sure keep popping the pills that cost a fortune in the hope it will but deep down we know they won't work.
avodart is supposed to surpress 93% of dht so if this was the case why do we still go bald because this is only one of many factors in the hairloss process.The doctors don't even know what the others are.

So what chance do we have really.The answer is none

you wont know they wont work unless you try them. then one day when you go completely bald at least you know that you tried to save ur hair. the worst feeling is going bald and not knowing if you could have saved your hair if you tried.

Why did you put quotations around the word "certain," in the context that you used it? I get a kick out of a lot of peoples' misuse of quotation marks.

i have advanced baldness, is that a medical term? holy f*** i didn't realize i even had advanced baldness, maybe i have supreme fingernail disfigurement as well.

yes, i do have holes in my ears, although none of them are "earrings". and my mother is deceased, so there's no need to go there.

I didn't misuse the quotes. I used them to emphasize a point.
There's a "certain" individual here that thinks he is a man because he uses tough talk although he lives with mommy and wears manly ear rings.

of course nothing available today can "reverse" hairloss. At best, you get temporary improvement, and a much slower decline. And that is AT BEST. But seriously, what is the point of posting something that sounds so hopeless it can only be a cry for attention? Sorry you feel bad man - so do I, but pouting about it isn't going to make my hair come back either.

Given the choice of going bald in 3 years versus 10 years, I'll opt for the latter. And if it costs me money, so be it. Not too many people here are kidding themselves too much to think they are going to be Norwood 1 forever.

A friend of mine was diagnosed with brain cancer 2 years ago - another was in an accident and badly burned about 1/3 of his body. And yet, these two have some of the best outlooks on life of anyone I know. They are almost always happy, optimistic, and fun to be with. (And, one of these friends, despite having cosmetic damage because of the burns, is KILLER with the ladies - proving to me at least that it is mostly about attitude). Anyway, these kind of problems put hairloss into perspective. This doesn't mean give up and accept hairloss - by all means fight it - but keep it all in perspective too.

i respect that, but remember, i'm not the guy 6 weeks on dutasteride and making threads claiming no hope. when i say suck it up princess, i think that's what you need to do. you knew the meds wouldn't work that fast.

i have no one to impress here, but i have no pity for people with that kind of attitude. i never talked tough, i talked rude. rudness is something i feel very comfortable expressing in person as well, so if you'd like to fly to my city (in canada) i'll come to the airport and call you a princess too.

yeah, i apologize. i'm just tired of seeing these "there is no hope" threads from people who havn't given treatments a chance. it actually puts a negative mood on these forums - we're here to help each other succeed, not make each other feel like were all a big lost cause.

lol thanks for the support. i don't want to fight with these guys. i just want people to stop trying to spread their bad attitude to others on here. everyone here means well, but the frustrations of hairloss really make some people hard to get along with.
