I guess the big question is: How much of your donor hair has actually grown back? You didn't post a picture of your current donor area. If less than 50% has grown back, it may not be much more effective than a conventional transplant (after all, there's more of a chance that the transplanted...
While I see your point, it seems to me that getting and receiving feedback on the efficacy of these products is the very reason most people use this forum. I am very familiar with both Merck's and GSK's results on their products, which is why I posed the question here.
Has anyone tried both and can share some firsthand results?
I, personally, used Propecia for just over a year, and continued to lose hair. I switched to Avodart, which I have been using for about a year now as well, and seem to have lost just as much (perhaps even a little more aggressively...
I've been using Avodart for eight months, and have experienced excessive hairloss for the last seven of those. I don't know if it's telogen effluvium or increased hypersensitivity to DHT on the drug, or what. Consequently, I'm thinking about swtiching back to Propecia. I wasn't maintaining much...
I doubt that Affleck wears a piece, but he very well could have had some minor transplantation to rebuild his hairline a bit... Now, Kevin Bacon, on the other hand...
Although rare, I understand that some doctors (craniofacial surgeons) have done some minor skull modifications for patients who have had sex change operations. For instance, they can insert gortex strips under the skin and muscles of the skull and reshape the forehead in order to make a male...
I wouldn't worry about sexual side-effects with Propecia. That was obviously one of the things they kept track of during the clinical trials with thousands of men. Propecia had only a small increase in sexual dysfunction compared to the placebo, and those side-effects went away after...
Have any polls/evaluations, either formal or informal, been completed yet on the use of Dutasteride for hairloss? I'm interested in the results of other users, since I've been using it for six months and am still losing more hair than I had been on Propecia. (I originally switched to Avodart...
I've been using Avodart for over five months... No side-effects, but it certainly didn't slow my hairloss. I continue losing the same amount as I had been on Propecia for a year.
How long did your shed last once you started Avodart? Keep in mind that I had already been on Propecia for a year, so I had already gone through any Propecia sheds by then.
