    Topical Antihistamine ?

I know entirely what I am talking about with regards to immunosuppressants as I am on them. Not cyclosporine but azathioprine. Strangely hair LOSS is listed as a side effect of azathioprine yet its function in suppressing the immune sytem is the same. You mention cyclosporine as proof but I...

    Topical Antihistamine ?

as ive mentioined before cyclosporine induces rapid growth but doesnt affect the balding process. Before people consider trying such things they should consult people who actually take these drugs for their intended purposes. Go to an autoimmune messageboard or some such thing, guys will tell...

    Propecia/spironolactone etc and autoimmune diseases

Here are some very interesting links relating to the implications of DHT (and hence finasteride et al) in auto immune disease. I firmly believe taking propecia gave me auto immune hepatitis a belief that grew stronger when, after 6 months of normal bloods, things shot up again in 2 weeks after...

there WILL be a cure for hair loss..sooner or later..

I have an auto immune liver disease and I take Azathiprone to reduce my immune system. Strangely hair loss is listed as a side effetc of that but I havent noticed much diffused loss although male pattern baldness seems to be progressing. I think the hair loss is only at the start. I know of people on cyclosporine...

    Applying spironolactone

Hey, My Gen Hair 2% spironolactone lotion came in the post yesterday but I am not sure about how to apply the thing. Surely the spray mechanism would only be useful if you have a bald/shaved head. My hair is pretty long so any spraying would just get my hair, alternatively I could part the hair in...

    serious advice needed guys....

guys.... I DID NOT HAVE A LIVER CONDITION BEFORE My hepatologist is of the opinion that finasteride triggered my AIH (ie my liver condition). My liver was fine before. Why would I want to scaremonger, I am just telling it like it is. You can believe me or not but dont pretend your all...

    serious advice needed guys....

dude you really have no idea. I have autoimmune hepatitis a chronic condition prevalent mainly among women. My hepatologist (who is one of the best in the field) said it can be drug induced and, along with the mycin drugs, the slight feminisation resulting from finasterise could very well be...

    serious advice needed guys....

for christs sake people this drug affects your whole hormonal balance and will affect many things other than your hair. The idea that DHT is some evil thing purely designed to produce baldies is nonsense, it has multiple roles in the body. Taking this drug had a severe impact on my liver and put...

Clinical trial for a topical - roxithromycin

If this works it'd be great as long as there is absolutely zero systemic absorbtion, my liver is very sensitive to mycin oral drugs and I woudl probably end up in hospital.
