I'm thinking about going in for a test, for a while now I've been thinking i have a lot of the symptoms so getting it done would put my mind at ease, one thing i have to ask is what meds did they put you on, i've heard from a few sources that one of the meds levothyroxine (i.e., Synthroid) in...
I think i may give this topical spironolactone a try, i still have a good decent amount of hair on my head and if this stuff at least helps slow it down i'm up for it.
I'm still not sure if I have RH, my face is a bit oily but its not slick oily and i only get the odd big pimple/zit on my face every now and then like on my chin or nose and my chest hair has decreased since being on finasteride but the hair going up my belly button is more or less the same.
My hair...
I never had them before i started finasteride, when i started finasteride i was getting them, not all the time but when i did it would be around the frontal part of the hair and the crown but at the most i'll only have up to 3 at one time on my saclp, i'm starting to get worried in thinking that their causing...
While Jim has got some slight receding it's also cause in the first pic he has long hair which profiles the temples a lot more, notice in the second pic of him his hair is short/looks better, i don't think he has had much work done if any at all.
I noticed today that one of my hairs that fell out had like another really small/fine hair that seemed to be growing from the bulb of the longer/darker one, anyone else had this happen and is this just a normal thing that happens every now and then?
I was just reading up about it at this Keratin.com website and this poster had this to say about it,don't know what to think about it but it has me worried, perhaps someone with deep knowledge about how propecia and hyperandrogenicity can help?
I'm getting a bit nervous and think i may have hyperandrogenicity, i was just wondering does hyperandrogenicity cause more hairloss and will the hair lost to it grow back from it?
Could it be possible that this thinner at the root thing be caused by finasteride? E.G someone does not have male pattern baldness but gets on finasteride, finasteride then changes their hormone level slightly and triggers something like a thyroid condition which then causes this tinner at the roots effect? This is just a wild guess and...
Not always true, I'm just receding at the moment with some thinning at the front and my cowlick/swirl has stayed the exact same since before i started to be effected by male pattern baldness.
