I hate to sound pessimistic, but I am struggling to see any result whatsoever on that pic and can confidently say that people experimenting with the follica method are more likely to produce negative effects, as opposed to positive ones.
The fact people are carrying out the Folllica method on...
Of course not..... It did piss me off though.
On a more serious note, $6000 is a bit steep for a 'contemporary' wig - regardless of if it's your own hair or not.
This post upsets me loads. :( :nono: Even though I did suspect it would be a load of bullshit just by reading the thread title - no offence to the original (but gullable) poster.
As the knife has already been twisted enough.... Please delete this post from the board!!!
Not to sound too pessimistic, but I think the chances of somebody "hitting the jackpot" on here are slim to none. They are more likely to win the lottery than discover Follica's winning procedure (which to be fair, I doubt has even been proven to be fully successful by Follica yet.)
I am pretty...
But I want it NOW..... NOW I TELL YOU!!!! :woot:
Seriously though, with all the buzz that has been generated on here (regarding Follica) I had convinced myself that it was going to be made available this year.
I agree that *if* it is a success and *if* it is made available in the next 2-4...
They haven't even started their trials yet???
So basically even though they have had success with the mice, having the same success with the the human trials is still 'wishful thinking' at present, i presume.
Without meaning to sound too pessimistic, I am certainly not getting...
Although i'm not too sure if this is happening, but I personally don't think ANYBODY(!!) should be encouraged to 'experiment' doing this treatment and carrying out a dermabrasion on themselves!! :nono:
Believe me, there is nobody in the world more desperate than I am to regrow hair, but this...
AND which will be released sometime very soon, i.e. within the next 12 months!!! :)
Dunno about everyone else, but I'm starting to get pretty desperate for a treatment to become available that effectively restores hairlines (and which will not leave me with a permanent scar!!)
I can't speak for everyone else...... but I definitely was applying the foam DIRECTLY to the scalp and yet it was still completely ineffective.
However, your argument is a legitimate one and I do believe this maybe the reason why foam does not work in *some* cases.
Timi - there are also clinical studies showing dutasteride is very effective against male pattern baldness.... does that mean dutasteride works for everybody?
I've been on Rogaine 6+ years.
The liquid version has definitely maintained and regrown hair (though the most dramatic improvement is probably within the first 2 years, after that it basically just maintains at best.)
No, it is not nonsense.
I started using the liquid back in 2000 and got some fairly decent results. I then switched to foam in 2006 and ended up losing all the hair liquid had originally regrew. It did absolutely f**k all for my hair and although it was easier to apply, it ended up being a...
:woot: Absolutely NOT!!! (well, at least not in the UK, dunno about Australia.)
Selling prescription-only treatments to ppl without prescriptions is totally illegal in the UK, thats why many online pharmacies are based in foreign countries. Importing prescription-only drugs from other...
I am actually in the same situation!! After using the Rogaine foam for the past 2 years, I have now reverted back to using some of my old liquid bottles I bought a couple of years ago - however expiry date is 01/01/08. Seems a bit of waste to throw 2 full bottles away. :(
